“COMMUNICATION AND TRACKING OF UNITS NATIONWIDE THROUGH TRUNKING RADIOS”

Executive Summary: Installation of Trunking communication infrastructure and tracking of units.
Restrictions: Establishing a network through which they could engage in conversations on any of the highways managed by CAPUFE and know their whereabouts at all times.
Background: CAPUFE required a solution that provided two services: communication through mobile and portable radios, and a reliable GPS tracking platform for these devices.
Solution: Keenwood’s DMR Trunking radio network with NEXTEDGE protocol was installed nationwide, including antennas, repeater sites, vehicles, etc.
Results: Full communication coverage of the highways operated by CAPUFE. We developed the GPS service with a Client-Server platform installed on CAPUFE’s central office servers in Morelos. We integrated 850 radios into the system. We conducted load tests on the complete solution for both communication and GPS, which yielded satisfactory results in all categories.
